Dear Carmen,
We go back at least a decade to when Craig and I had given ourselves 5 years to find the right condo for us to down-size from our house which we loved and which had been built for us many years prior. We did a lot of looking on our own, and one day found ourselves wandering through a unit where we met you for the first time. We felt comfortable right away and had an instant good feeling about your warmth and honesty.
Initially, we said we were looking for a SW facing unit with 2 bedrooms and den, and hopefully with a view. Carmen, you went all out (I see others are saying the same thing) either sending us listings that met our criteria, or taking us to see possibilities.
You made sure we understood what we could reasonably ask for our house and why. I don't know if you suspected that we might want to buy before selling (usually better to sell first), but you were lining up agents for potential buyers for our house for when that time came.
At one point, with your help, we put a back-up offer on a condo that had the perfect view. Fortunately, we did not get it. As you said, Carmen, "maybe it was not meant to be." Indeed it was not!
Our criteria went out the window when we finally saw a condo, right in the village, that gave us most of what we wanted, and were eager to make an offer - before our house was sold.! By then you knew there was interest in our house and that there would be no delay selling it.
Sure enough, Carmen, you moved quickly to help us secure our new home, all the while organizing a time for realtors to bring their best and final offer, while we were present, one evening, following their earlier opportunity to show clients around our house.
I have not mentioned the importance of the many real estate intricacies that you taught us along the way. Suffice it to say, 'no stone was left unturned' in getting us through, only really appreciated in hindsight, what for most is a stressful experience.
Through this experience we learned a lot about each other and have become good friends.

Having sold more than a dozen homes in my life I would not hesitate to have Carmen represent us again. She presented us with a very detailed and organized business and marketing plan prior to listing. She hired a house inspector to check for any deficiencies needing attention that could possibly make an offer more difficult. She hired a professional stager who provided suggestions for removing personal items and clutter. She hired a movie company to do an extensive photoshoot and video to be shown on their website.
